·       This paper consists of section a, b, and c with a total of fifteen questions.

·       Answer all questions from section c, of which question number 13 is compulsory

·       All writings should be in blue or black ink except for diagrams.

·       Cellular phones are not allowed in the examination room

·       Crying is allowed but in a silent mode.

3. Give three common accidents at home and schools and explain in brief three preventive measures in each case.

4. A laboratory technician needs to approve a building to be used as a biology laboratory as a form three student list six unique things which he/she must consider in order for that building t be considered as a good biology laboratory.

5. Chisemo who is a fisherman caught many fish. Some fish were solid, other was given to friends and neighbors and some remained. What would you advise him in order to preserve the remain fish being in mind that there is no electricity in his area.

6. Similar types of three anima cells were placed in three different solutions namely A, B and C. After sometime the cell in solution A bursted, the cell in solution B shrank and shrivel and cell in solution C did not change.

12. Nyambata complains of having lack of bowel movement and hard stool that are difficult to pass or painful to pass

(ii) Give five (5) measures that should be taken to control and prevent the disorder

SECTION C (25 MARKS)

Answer two (2) questions in this section. Question number 13 is compulsory

13. Write an essay on family planning basing on the following guidelines

(a) Meaning family planning and contraception

(b) Methods of birth control

(c) Role of men in family planning

14. In a school garden butterflies and bees were observed jumping from one flower to another this action is said to be more important in plant fertilization, give the name of the process that was facilitated by action of these insects and its meaning and then explain four agents of the process apart from insects.

15. Mammals use both behavioral and physiological mechanism in regulating body temperature. Explain how this takes place.
